Rosalie Rea
Rosalie Rea, 84, of Marietta, passed away at 3:30 am on Sunday, March 4, 2012. She was born on April 21, 1927, at Big Bend, WV, a daughter of John Wade and Lora Richards Kellar. She was a homemaker and caregiver and a member of Grace Baptist Church in Devola.
She married Robert Lee Bennett who preceded her in death and later married Eugene Ronald Rea who also preceded her in death.
Two sons and two daughters survive: Rosie Mae Bennett Howell (Edward E.) of Wilmington, NC, Wayne Eugene Bennett (Diana) of Marietta, John Ottie Rea, Virginia G. Rea Boney Dudley (John) of Caldwell, 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, brothers: David, Thurman, Charles, and Richard Kellar and sisters: Virginia G. Kellar Bennett, Hazel Kellar Kendall and Laura Kellar.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (March 7) at 11:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Cosgray of Morgan Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Dalzell Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday after 2:00 with family present from 2-4 & 6-8.
