Ruby E. Treadway
Ruby E. Treadway, 98, of Lowell, Ohio, passed away at 5:55 pm on Wednesday, August 28, 2013 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born on December 12, 1914, a daughter of Reverend Joel and Lucy Stamper. She was a homemaker.
On March 31, 1934, she married Ora Edward Treadway who preceded her in death in 1992.
Ruby is survived by 2 sons and 3 daughters: Arlene VanBrunt of Oklahoma, Lorraine Oliver of California, Crandle “Sonny” (Norma Jean) Treadway of Lowell, Reverend Ronald (Ellen) Treadway of Georgia. Iris Jean Treadway her caregiver of Lowell; 11 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, 17 great, great grandchildren and 2 on the way. She is also survived by her sister Dorothy Lee Deshaso of Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 grandchildren and brother Oscar Stamper.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday (Sept. 1) at 2:00 at the Marietta Church of God with Reverend Ronald Treadway officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home on Saturday from 3:00 until 8:00pm and at the church on Sunday one hour before the service.
