Ruth E. Mahaney

Ruth E. Mahaney, 97, of Williamstown passed away 8:19 pm September 19, 2013 at Heartland of Marietta.

She was born June 22, 1916 in Williamstown to Charles Everett and Eva (McClain) Archer. Ruth’s life was devoted to her family who will miss her beyond measure.

Surviving is a son, Jack Mahaney; two daughters, Sue Canfield and Rebecca Mahaney; Six grandchildren, Lolly Mahaney, Jackson Mahaney, Heidi Moulton, Karen Thompson, Roe Bules, and Casey Bules; nine great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a niece Judy Seagal and nephew Steve Adkins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death in 2010 by her husband of 75 years Homer “Wid” Mahaney and in 1987 a grandson Mac Bules. Also, sisters Wanda Archer and Roberta Adkins preceded her in death.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Flowers may be sent in her memory to the staff at Heartland of Marietta. McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home is assisting the family. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.lankfordfh.com.
