Sandra Sue (Dobbins) Adams

Sandra Sue (Dobbins) Adams, 50, of Belpre passed away 1:29 pm Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

She was born July 17, 1958 in Beverly to Walter F. and Anna Belle Hawkins Dobbins.  Sandra lived most of her life in the Lowell area and attended Lowell Elementary and Fort Frye High School where she graduated with the class of 1976.  As a child she attended Good Hope Baptist Church and later Virgil Waugh’s nondenominational church in Marietta. At 16 years of age she started working as a nursing assistant and was employed by Marie Antoinette and the Marietta Center for 30 years, recently she had been employed by McHappys Donuts.  She loved for caring the disabled and caring for and being active with her grandson Sean McGee.

Surviving are her husband, David Adams, her daughter Nyoka McGee and grandson Sean of the home.  Also surviving is her sister Roberta (Tom) Pugh, brother Tim (Judy) Dobbins of both of Lowell, and sister Becky Dennis of Marietta. Nieces Crystal Campbell and Sarenda McComis and nephews Dale, John, and Wesley Johnson; Dustin, Josh and Adam McKnight.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant brother and sister, as well as her sister Patsy Johnson.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm, Monday April 27th at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 pm Saturday until the hour of service.  The family will be present Saturday 6 to 8 and on Sunday 2 to 4 and 6 to 8.
