Shawna Jo Daugherty McKnight

Shawna Jo Daugherty McKnight was born March 27, 1977, to Cathy (Hill) and Glen Daugherty in Marietta, Ohio. She passed away on October 21, 2025 at Marietta Memorial Hospital due to health issues.

She is survived by her daughter, Jacey Jo McKnight, husband, James McKnight, brother, Dustin (Mary) Daugherty, nieces, Kelsea (Sam) Bashioum and Kylie Daugherty, nephew, Kyle Daugherty, great niece and nephew, Oakleigh and Camden Bashioum, mother-in-law, Nancy (Ted) Ball, and many family members.

She was a 1995 graduate of Marietta High School and attended University of Rio Grande. She was inducted into Marietta High School Athletic Hall of Fame in 2024 for holding a 20 year record for all-time leading scorer in basketball. She played and coached multiple sports for many years and was a great corn hole player.

She was a member of the VFW Post 5108 and Elks 477.

She is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents, Earl and Audrey (Rutherford) Hill, Norma (Neville) Baker and Chet and Maggie Daugherty.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday (Oct. 25) at McClure Schafer Lankford Funeral Home. Family will greet friends at the funeral home before the service from 11:00 until 1:00. Messages of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.Lankfordfh.com.
