Shirley Rummer

Shirley Ruth Rummer, 72, of Devola, passed away at 10:00 am on Thursday, May 6, 2010, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
            She was born on September 22, 1937, in Marietta, a daughter of William and Grace (Wiggins) Morris. Shirley was a graduate of Marietta High School, Class of 1955. She had work at Dravo before being employed by The Department of Agriculture Stabilization and Conservation Service in Washington County before becoming Executive Director in Noble County. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
            On October 14, 1955, Shirley married Charles William “Bill” Rummer who survives with their son, Keith Alan Rummer and his wife Kate Yearout Rummer of Cincinnati, OH and 2 grandchildren, Caroline and Carter Rummer.
            She was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter Melissa Jaye Rummer and 3 brothers.
            Friends may call at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home on Saturday (May 8th) from 2 until 4.
