Sidnie Ann Davis Walters

Sidnie Ann Davis Walters, 78, of Oak Grove passed away at 2:03 pm, Sunday, September 20, 2009 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

She was born June 13, 1931 in Kermit, WV to Howard Sydnie Davis and Georgia L. Davis Wilson.  Sidnie was a member of Gilman United Methodist Church, Meigs Beagle Club, Columbus Beagle Club, and a lifetime member of the Marietta Beagle Club.

On April 2, 1949 she married Edsel Walters who survives with children: Kathy Ann Murray of Lowell, Thomas Brian (Carole) Walters of Marietta, and Keith Alan (Cynthia) Walters of Powell, OH.  Also surviving are grandchildren Julie M. Count of Germany, Brooke N. Rudolph of Williamstown; Logan J. Stanley, Blake M. Linger, L. Tanner Murray, Clasey Walters, Brittany Walters and Preston Walters all of Marietta; Ethan T. Walters, Sidnie E. Walters, and Candace J. Walters all of Powell and great grandchildren Benjamin, Samuel, Emma, Ashton, Hannah, Trista, Levi, and Lance.  Sisters Norma J. Davis Cisler of Marietta, Sandra S. Wilson Burdette of Vienna and Karen G. Wilson Vansickle and brother Clifford M. Wilson both of Columbus also survive her.

Funeral services will be held 11 am Saturday, September 26, at Gilman Avenue United Methodist Church with Reverend Diann O’Bryant and Teddy Tackett officiating.  Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at 2 pm Friday at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with the family greeting friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 and on Saturday 1 hour before the service at the church.
