Sonja Kay Rapp Wright
Sonja Kay Rapp Wright, 80, of Marietta passed away at 4:25 pm, Sunday, August 18, 2024, at Elison of Marietta. She was born on August 28, 1943, in Washington County to William Leslie Rapp and Eunice Elizabeth Fulmer Wright.
She was retired from Ohio Bell Telephone Company and attended Layman United Methodist Church.
Sonja married Kenneth Wright who preceded her in death. She is survived by a stepson David (Amy) Wright, step grandchildren, Annabelle and Max Wright, 2 sisters-in-law Doreen and Glada. Sonja was a special aunt to several nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews and special friend Dorothy Peppel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and sisters: Elva Mae Miller, Thelma Ullman, Susan Rapp, and Eleanor Jean Tewanger Gribble; brothers: Irvin, Daniel and William “Billy” Rapp.
Graveside services will be held on Monday (August 26) at 2:00 pm at PawPaw Cemetery. McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home is assisting the family and messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
