Stephen R. Schofield
Stephen R. Schofield, 63, of Whipple passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2020, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born in Marietta on August 11, 1956, a son of Jack and Ramona Schofield.
Steve was a graduate of Fort Frye High School. He was employed at the Washington County Sheriff’s Department. He was a past member of the Salem Township Fire Department. Steve enjoyed hunting, fishing, genealogy and his family and grandchildren.
On May 14, 1983, he married Marilyn Adams who survived with his sons Joshua (Stephanie) of Waverly, WV, and Jacob of Cincinnati, sister Jackie (Ted) Lauer of Whipple and 2 grandchildren, Savannah and Skylar Schofield; nieces Laura Lauer of Whipple, Lynnette (Matt) Lauer of Columbus and nephews David (Ashleigh) Lauer of Whipple and great nephew Cooper Lauer. Steve was preceded in death by his parents.
