Susan “Sue” A. Newlon

Susan “Sue” A. Newlon, 62, of Lowell passed away at her home at 9:18 pm on Friday, October 16, 2009.

She was born on January 19, 1947, in Lowell, a daughter of Carl J. Lang, Sr. and Ruth Thieman Lang.  Sue was a homemaker and a motor route carrier for Marietta Times and a home health worker.  She was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church at Lowell.

On June 14, 1964, she married John H. Newlon who survives with 1 son and 2 daughters:  Gene “Bird” (Melissa) Newlon and their children Samantha, Megan, Karley and great grandchildren Terrance and Daisy; Melissa (Alan) Treadway of Marietta and their children Timothy, Thomas, Jessica; Penny (Darren) Whealdon of Lowell and their children Keith, Nikki, Tessi and great grandson Jaiden.  Also surviving are 1 sister and 3 brothers:  Marian Thrasher of Marietta, Carl Lang, Jr. of Waterford, Cecil Lang of Mineral Wells, and Ronald Lang of Lowell.

She was preceded in death by her parents and great grandson Zachery.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday (October 22nd) at 7:00 pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home where friends may call from 4:00 pm on Thursday.
