V. Leverne Corathers Tenney
V. Leverne Corathers Tenney died January 23, 2022. She was born July 27, 1931 in Buckhannon, WV.
On July 15, 1956, Leverne married Elvin Gray Tenney who preceded her in death. Leverne was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church and belonged to the Suzanne Circle. She was also a Girl Scout Leader.
She is survived by 3 sons: James Gray, Mark Allen and David Brian (Stephanie) Tenney; daughter, Barbara Tenney Dils; 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; sister Carolyn Sue (Burton) Wilfong, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, O. A. and Tressie Mae Bennett Corathers, 2 brothers, James Bennett Corathers and George David Corathers and 2 sisters Doris Rose Coleman and Mary Marie Withers.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday (Jan. 29) at 11:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial following in Oak Grove Cemetery.
