Velva Jean Bauerbach

Velva Jean Bauerbach, 74, of Marietta passed away at 9:18pm on Tuesday, September 3, 2013, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born on April 17, 1939, in Newport a daughter of Merrill and Rachel Wilson Stewart. Velva was a member of Sixth and Washington Streets Church of Christ.

On April 28, 1962, she married Donald Bauerbach who preceded her in death. She is survived by 2 sons and 2 daughters: Doug Bauerbach of Marietta, Debbie (Blake) Allen of St. Augustine, FL, Becky (Chris) Strickler of Marietta, Kenny Bauerbach of Marietta; grandchildren: Andrew, Sam and Michelle Strickler, Brandi and Morgan Bauerbach. She is also survived by her brother Melvin Stewart.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson Jacob Bauerbach, and brother Garry Stewart.

Funeral services will be held on Friday (Sept. 6) at 11:00 am at Sixth and Washington Streets Church of Christ with Roger Rush officiating. Entombment will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park. Friends may call at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home on Thursday after 2:00 with family present 2-4 & 6-8. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.lankfordfh.com.
