Vera Nolen

Vera V. Nolen, 90, of Marietta passed away at 6:30am, Sunday, May 27, 2018, at Heartland of Marietta. She was born July 29, 1927, in Washington County to Lyle and Estella Rowland Basim.

Vera has been employed at New System Bakery. She enjoyed Major League Baseball, NASCAR, football, reading, crossword puzzles and watching old movies and game shows.

On May 12, 1946, she married James R. Nolen who preceded her in death on September 22, 1992. She is survived by one son and two daughters, David Nolen of Marietta, Joyce (Ed) Kapple of Belpre and Kathy (Charles) Davis of Whipple; 5 grandchildren: Jeremy Cassidy, Christine (Rick) Wilson, Christopher (Becky) Davis, Amy Parrish, Jason (Crystel) Davis and 5 great grandchildren: Abigail, Hannah, Kale, Leah and Hanley Davis.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 2 brothers: Howard and Gene Basim

Family will greet friends on Wednesday (May 30) from 11:00 am until noon at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home. Family graveside services will be held after visitation. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com,
