Virginia G. Bennett

Virginia G. Bennett, 88, of Devola, Ohio, passed away on March 1, 2009, at Selby General Hospital at 1:15 pm.

She was born on October 31, 1920, in Calhoun County, Big Bend, WV, a daughter of the late John and Lora Richards Kellar.  She attended Brooksville Elementary School in Big Bend.  She was a member of Fifth Street Church of Christ in Beverly and was a homemaker.

On September 15, 1946, she married Marcellus Bennett at Grantsville, WV, who preceded her in death on November 29, 1991.

She is survived by one sister, Rosalie Rea of Marietta, brother-in-law William G. Bennett of Belpre and a nephew Larry Kendall who resided with her, and several other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers:  Therman Kellar, Richard Kellar, Charles Kellar, infant David Kellar and sisters:  Lara Kellar, Hazel Kellar Kendall.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (March 4) at 1:30 pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Zack Waite and Bruce Goosman officiating.  Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Park.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 2:00 on Tuesday until the hour of the service.  On line condolences may be shared at:   www.mslfuneralhome.com.
