Virginia L. Blosser

Virginia L Blosser, 76, of Marietta passed away at 3:30am, Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at Heartland of Marietta.  She was born May 20, 1939, in Fly, Ohio to William and Ella Jane Storm Witten.

Virginia was a graduate of River Local High School, attended Marietta College and had been employed at Kroger.  She attended Newport United Methodist Church.  Virginia loved Christmas and going to the beach.

Virginia is survived by 2 sons and 1 daughter: Clifton E. (Ann) Blosser, Jr. of Bartlett, Jean (Allen) Miller of Marietta and William O. Blosser of Avella, PA; 6 grandchildren:  Leigh Ann (Shawn) Modesitt, Chad (Paula) Wittekind, Christopher Blosser, Whitney (Randy) Miller, Corey Blosser, Katelyn Blosser, great grandchildren: Caleb Sargent,  Lauren Modesitt, Brianna and Gavin Blosser, McKenzie and Ryleigh Miller.  She is also survived by her brother and 2 sisters:  Ray Witten, Mary Jane Taylor, Rachel (Dave) Edgar, longtime friends Gary and Sue Haas and family and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son Thomas, brother Billy Witten, sister-in-law Jane Witten and close friend Paul Farnsworth.

Funeral services will be held on Friday (Dec. 18) at 11:00am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial following in Witten Cemetery at Fly, OH.  Family will greet friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8.  Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
