Warren Johnson
Warren Johnson, 76, of Marietta passed away unexpectedly on February 5, 2026 at The Arbors of Marietta.
He was born on July 6, 1949, in Parkersburg, WV, a son of Arthur Johnson and Flora Moorefield. He was a graduate of Belpre High School. He was a journeyman pipe fitter and boilermaker for the Union Local 168. He taught welding at WVU-P and owned Advanced Micro Computers on Second Street. He did System Administration for Jackson General Hospital until his retirement. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Council #478. Warren was known for cooking on his “Big Green Egg” and hosting the Wine and Swine with his wife, Georgene.
On November 15, 1997, he married Georgene Timko who preceded him in death on September 8, 2025. He is survived by his sons, Thaddeus Johnson and Russell (Kimberly) Johnson, grandson, Mitchell Johnson, brother, Gary (Julie) Johnson and niece Chelsea.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday (Feb. 10) in New St. Mary Cemetery. McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home is assisting the family and messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
