Wilda R. Stewart Casto
Wilda R. Stewart Casto of Marietta, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2013, at Heartland of Marietta. She was born on January 25, 1921, in New Matamoras, Ohio a daughter of Charles and Bessie Pool Stewart.
Wilda attended Gilman United Methodist Church for the past 50+ years and the church and quilting were her vocation and hobbies.
In November of 1946, she married Delmar “Clyde” Casto who preceded her in death in September, 1965.
Wilda is survived by 2 children, Phillip (Lois) Casto and Kay (Steve) Bonnette; 2 grandchildren, Michelle Casto and fiancé Dan Medlin and Teresa (Jason) Ott, 3 step-grandchildren, Brian Casto, Brent Casto and Stephen Bonnette; 4 great grandchildren: Gavin, Ethan and Zane Ott and Madison Casto Cumberlidge, step-great grandchild Devyn Bonnette, brother Carl Stewart, step daughter-in-law Judy Casto and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, siblings: Gerald Stewart, Florence Thomas, Mildred Dyar, Harry Stewart, half-brother, Floyd Stewart, step daughter Janet McBraier, stepson Don Casto.
The family would like to thank Heartland of Marietta and their staff for the great care and compassion they have shown to our loved one.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday (Aug. 29) at 10:30 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Diann O’Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in Valley Cemetery.
