William “Bill” Walker

William “Bill” Walker, 80, of Cutler passed away July 20, 2013 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
Bill was born December 27, 1932 in Dairsie, Scotland to William and Elizabeth (Pratt) Walker. He had worked at Walker Industries where he was a tool and die supervisor and was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Scotland. Bill was a lover of the outdoors and an avid fly fisherman and he loved woodworking in his home woodshop. Bill is a member of the Walker Clan of Scotland and held a strong faith and belief for his homeland, heritage and music.
On June 27, 1992 he married Jane Hardesty who survives with his children Roy Walker (Rhonda) of Columbia, SC, Rhona Wyatt (Greg) of Gulf Breeze, FL, and Gordon Walker (Karen) of Mineral Wells, and stepchildren M. Chase Chovan (Kelli) and Zachary Chovan. Also surviving are grandchildren David Welsch, Andy Walker, Jared Young, Allie Young, Isabella Chovan and Jacob Chovan, great grandchildren Reagen Welsch and Grant Welsch and a brother Robert Walker of Scotland.
In addition to his parents, his first wife Eileen Walker a son William Walker and daughter Linda Vance preceded Bill in death.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, July 24th at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home. Friends may call from 2 pm Tuesday, with the family present from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www. Lankfordfh.com.
