William “Bill” Waters

William “Bill” Waters, 72, of Marietta passed away at 4:35 am Monday, March 3, 2014, at The Arbors at Marietta. He was born January 8, 1942, at Stockport, OH, a son of Raymond and Elsie Scarbrough Waters. He had been employed as a boiler operator at American Cyanamid and also taught adult education at Washington County Career Center.

In 1963 Bill married Sarah Bailey who preceded him in death. Their son and daughter survived: Jeff Waters of Honea Path, SC and Jenny Waters of Nacogdoches, TX.

On November 30, 1990, he married Jane Hill who survives with 2 stepsons: Dan and Chad Stalnaker of Marietta. He is also survived by one grandson Dylan Waters of Honea Path, SC and his brother Leonard Waters of Marietta.

He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday (Mar. 8) at 10:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home where friends may call on Friday after 2:00 pm with family present from 2-4 & 6-8. Burial will be in Gravel Bank Cemetery. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
