Wilmer G. Miller

Wilmer G. Miller, 82, of Marietta passed away at 3:18 pm, Monday, July 31, 2017, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born June 24, 1935, in Washington County, Ohio, to Robert Floyd and Lillie Virginia Best Miller.

Wilmer had been employed as a machinist at Dravo (Conex), and was a member of Moose Lodge and The Elks Club. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a “Jack of all trades” and a master of most. He enjoyed playing golf and was a beloved father and husband.

On November 29, 1975, he married Lenora May Kostelnik who preceded him in death June 10, 2000. He is survived by 5 sons and 2 daughters: Charles (Teddy) Hesson of Marietta, Ronald (Debora) Hesson of Braydenton, FL, Diana (Bill) Myers of Dripping Springs, TX, Kenneth (Kathy) Miller of McConnelsville, John (Debrah) Miller of Marietta, Bonnie Miller of Marietta, Steve (Cheryl) Miller of Elgin, TX, 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 2 sisters, Ruth Miller and Carylon Schriner.

Preceded in death by his parents, wife, daughter Donna Hesson, sister Imogene Offenberger, brother Kenneth Miller and great grandchild Brooklyn Pope.

Funeral services will be held on Friday (Aug. 4) at 2:00 pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Lou Verdi officiating. The family will greet friends on Thursday evening from 4 until 8. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
