Zella Lucille Clawson
Zella Lucille Clawson, 93, of Marietta, Ohio, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Waterview Pointe nursing home in Marietta where she was a resident. She was born August 27, 1929 in Curtis, Nebraska, a daughter of the late Ira James Clawson and Vinnie (Hecht) Clawson.
She is survived by a daughter, Maren Beery of Marietta, Ohio, and son, Thad Beery of Stockport, Ohio, one grandson, Andrew Nicholas of Rice, Washington, and one great granddaughter, Amber Catron of Tacoma, Washington. She is also survived by two brothers, Donald and Charles Clawson.
Zella attended high school in Curtis before relocating to Colorado where she lived for many years on top of a scenic mountain in a ranch house she cherished. In later years, she relocated to Marietta, Ohio, to be near her daughter and son.
A one-hour visitation with the family is scheduled for 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February 22nd, at the Blasé-Wetzel-Strauser Funeral Home in Curtis. A graveside service will be held that afternoon at the Curtis Cemetery at 1:00 P.M.
