    Geri Lynn Brode, 69, of Marietta passed away at 4:44am, Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born on February 19, 1956, in Charleston, WV a daughter of Gary Bloss and Janet Pritt Bloss.
    Geri was employed as a Surgical Nurse at Marietta Memorial Hospital and later at Peoples Bank as a Procurement Manager and retiring as a Human Resource Manager at Blennerhassett Hotel.

    Sonja Leah (Mobberly) Tallman, age 80, passed away on January 3, 2026 at her residence in Williamstown WV. She was born on April 16, 1945 in Marietta, Ohio and was the younger daughter of the late Chauncey Vernon Mobberly and June Rose (Weckbacher) Mobberly.
    Sonja graduated from New Matamoras High School with the class of 1963. During her elementary, junior high and high school years at New Matamoras, Sonja played alto saxophone in concert- and marching band.

    Kellie Maureen Hughes Nelson (Creech), 52, passed away peacefully on December 27, following a year-and-a-half battle with cancer, while holding her husband’s hand.
    Born in Dayton, Ohio, Kellie later planted her roots in West Virginia. She was a devoted believer in Jesus Christ, whose faith never wavered—even through her courageous battle with cancer.
    Kellie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Richard and Golda Creech.

    Amy Jean Bays, aged 84, died on December 22, 2025 in Marietta, Ohio. She was born on January 28, 1941 to Eugene and Marjorie Rodabaugh in Hamilton, Ohio.
    Amy grew up in Loch Haven, Pennsylvania where she loved to ride her bike to the soda fountain and movie theater. She was an excellent student, and after graduating second in her high school class, Amy attended William & Mary where she sang in the choir, played lacrosse, once accidently set off a small explosion in the chemistry lab, and majored in French.
