    He was born August 15, 1934 in Marietta a son of Bert Flowers and Grace Campbell Flowers. He owned and operated his own painting business, Flowers General Painting.

    Russell E. Patterson, 84, of Marietta passed away at 8:23pm, Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
    He was born January 20, 1941, in Marietta a son of Emmett Patterson and Mabel Francis Patterson. Russell attended the Open Door Baptist Church.

  • Robert “Bob” William Schmitt

    Robert “Bob” William Schmitt, 82, of Reno, passed away peacefully at his home at 8:11pm, Friday, April 4, 2025.
    He was born on October 13, 1942, in Newark, Ohio, a son of Robert Schmitt and Beulah Armstrong Schmitt. He was a 1960 graduate of Windsor High School Bob was a veteran of the Ohio Army National Guard and a member of the Waterford Church of the Nazarene. He was a lineman for United Telephone Company and later as a truck driver and a volunteer at Strecker Cancer Center.

  • Penny Lee Dalton

    Penny Lee Dalton, 82, of Marietta passed away on April 4, 2025 at Elison Assisted Living. She was born March 4, 1943 in Waterford, Ohio to James and Grace (Fleming) Cozzens.
    Penny was a 1961 graduate of Warren High School and had been employed at Fenton Art Glass. Penny was a member of the Nazarene Church. She enjoyed walking, and had been involved in several 5k races, crafting, and working in her flower gardens. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids.
    On November 23, 1963 she married George “Buddy” Dalton Sr. who preceded her in death on August 16, 2020.

    Lisa Dobbins-Rea, 49, passed away peacefully in her home on April 3, 2025.
    Lisa was known for being a loving, hardworking mother, poopoo, and best friend. She never knew a stranger and was always the life of the party. She always put everyone’s needs before her own. You would find her cooking at Lowell Elementary by day and bartending the Whipple by night where everyone knew and loved her.

    Debra D. “Debbie” Brockmeier, 70, of Marietta passed away at 7:40 pm. Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born May 24, 1954, in Dunbar, WV, a daughter of the late Howard Bean and Clara Edwards of Hundred, WV.
    Debbie had been employed at Selby General Hospital and Regional Collection Services. She was a member of The Church of Christ.

  • Naomi Elaine Green

    Naomi Elaine Green, 91, of Marietta passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Waterview Pointe after a brief illness.
    She was born on August 21, 1933, in Marietta a daughter of Charles Brady Treadway and Altha Opal Templeton Treadway. Naomi was a 1951 graduate of Marietta High School and first worked for Broughton’s Food and later was an operator for Ohio Bell Telephone. After meeting her husband at the phone company, she retired to raise her family. She loved Tole painting, bowling and gardening, especially flowers. She was a member of American Legion Post 64 Auxiliary, and CCL where she formed life-long friends. She was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church.
