    Hester Lucinda Erb McCain, passed away peacefully at her home on January 1, 2025, at the age of 96.
    Born on November 13, 1928, to David and Rebecca Holiday Erb, Hester was a sister to the late Virgil, William, Herbert, Pearl, David, James, Gary and Mary Lou Erb, Jeanette Neville, Bonita Williams, and Carrie Hallett. She is survived by Ruth (Bradley) Morris, Ronald (Yvonne) Erb, Dale (Paula) Erb, Imogene Tidd, and John (Barbara) Erb.
    Hester had a deep appreciation for the beauty of nature and spent countless hours tending to her garden and flowers, which were a reflection of her nurturing spirit. She cherished her time with family, offering unconditional love, guidance, and wisdom to all generations.

    Romena S. Beaver, 97, of New Matamoras, Ohio, passed away at 3:11 am, Wednesday, December 25, 2024 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
    Romena was born February 25, 1927 in New Matamoras a daughter of Raymond T. Fox and Kathern Brown Fox. She was a homemaker and was a life-long member of the Matamoras Methodist Church.

    Richard Lionel Venis, 88, of Marietta passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at Encompass Rehabilitation Hospital in Parkersburg.
    He was born February 10, 1936, in Carshalton, Surrey, England son of Charles and Mary Stroud Venis. He came to the U. S. at the age of 22 and served in the U. S. Army. He became a U. S. Citizen on June 18, 2019. Becoming a citizen was so important to him, to be able to vote. He enjoyed spending time with family and gardening.

  • Dorsey Dale Everson

    Dorsey Dale Everson, of Marietta, passed away at his home with family present on December 17, 2024 at the age of 86. He was born January 26, 1938 to Walter and Isabell (Hinton) Everson in Parkersburg, WV.
    He is survived by his wife of 65 years Linda (Lowe) Everson, children John Everson, Jeanne Hamilton, and Mike (Sonia) Everson. Also Dorsey is survived by 2 granddaughters Lindsey Pottmeyer and Cayla (Josh) Hively, 6 great grandchildren and 7 siblings.
    In addition to his parents Dorsey was preceded in death by a grandson Master Sgt. Michael Marvin and 6 siblings.
    Dorsey was a retired instructor for Gasel Trucking and he loved all things racing, Ohio State Football and politics.
