    Ronald “Ron” Dean Friend, 72, of Marietta, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home on July 13, 2025, surrounded by love just eight days before his 73rd birthday. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, veteran, and storyteller, Ron lived his entire life in the place he called home—Marietta—where his quiet legacy continues to ripple through the lives he touched.

  • Dorothy Morrow

    Dorothy Morrow journeyed to heaven on July 12, 2025, to square dance with the angels. She was born June 18, 1925, to Clifford and Rozie Irvine. She graduated from Belpre High School in 1944. On March 28th, 1948, she married Donald Edwin Morrow.
    She is survived by her three children, Barbara, Dennis, Daniel (Kathryn) and grandchildren, Gregory A. Morrow and Jessica (Jacob) Powell. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald, infant son Ronald, her sister Kathryn (Joe) Bias and brother Gilbert (Margaret) Irvine.

  • Robert Lloyd Hannahs

    Robert Lloyd Hannahs, 95, of Marietta passed away at 1:19 pm, Thursday, July 10, 2025, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born December 5, 1929, in Newcomerstown, OH, a son of Preston Hannahs and Vera Lloyd Hannanhs.
    Robert retired from Ohio Bell Telephone Company after 35 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Gilman United Methodist Church, founding member of Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of Marietta Civitan Club and Telephone Pioneers.

    Maude R. Kirby, 73 of Marietta passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Harmar Place.  She was born November 24, 1951 in Parkersburg a daughter of William Richards and Dolly Sprouse Richards.
    Maude was a graduate of Parkersburg High School and Washington State Community College and worked as a LPN at Judson Rehab Center.  She had lived in Cleveland before moving back to Marietta.  She dearly loved her grandkids.

    Charity May Miller, 52, of Marietta, passed away Saturday, July 5th, 2025, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born on May 16, 1973, in Marietta to Robert and Mary (Susie) Stille.
    On February 13, 1993, she married the love of her life, Garnie Ray Miller. Together, they shared a lifetime of love and memories, and built a family, that she treasured more than life itself.

  • Kenneth Grady

    Kenneth Grady, 90, of Marietta passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025 at Waterview Pointe. He was born in Parkersburg, WV, on October 18, 1934.
    Kenneth served in the U. S. Marines for 22 years and retired as a gunnery Sergeant. He then worked at Fenton Art Glass for 28 years. He enjoyed running in road races.

    Shirley was born April 15, 1939, in Washington County a daughter of Kenneth VanWey and Cora Binegar VanWey. She had been a cook at Lawrence Elementary School.
