H. Marguerite (Margie) McClure
H. Marguerite (Margie) McClure, 71, of Oak Grove Road. Waverly. WV. After a short illness, Margie passed away November 12, 2013, at the Care Haven nursing home in Belmont. WV. She was born November 18,1941, daughter of Lawrence E. and Helen Marguerite (Johnson) McClure.
For the past ten years Margie greatly enjoyed traveling to St. Marys for lunch at the Nutrition Center and had many friends there. In addition to the lunch and friends, she especially enjoyed playing "Scope" after lunch. She loved feeding birds, watching television, and had a special love for her pet cat.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Surviving are her brother, Lawrence E. McClure, Jr., (Janet) of Oak Grove, Waverly, sister. Ruby (McClure) Smith (Banks) of Vienna. WV, a nephew. Dan McClure (Nadine), and nieces, Carrie (McClure) Ptachick, Kim (McClure) Wingrove (Martin) all of Oak Grove. Waverly and Susan (Smith) Tamulonis (Jim) of Dublin. OH.
Funeral services will be held 1 pm Saturday November 16th at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial following in Willow Island Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 pm on Friday with the family present from 3 to 7 pm and 1 hour before the service on Saturday. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.lankfordfh.com.
