Chad Raymond Hockenberry
Chad Raymond Hockenberry, 36, of Marietta, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
He was born on September 1, 1977 in Marietta, to Charles and Debbie (Haught) Hockenberry, Jr. Chad was a 1996 graduate of Marietta high School and was a huge Ohio State Fan who liked to hangout with his family and friends. He was a people person who never met a stranger and despite his health issues Chad was always upbeat and liked to make people laugh.
In addition to his parents, Chad is survived by his brother Eric (Stacy) Hockenberry, a sister Stacy Hockenberry, and his grandparents Charles and Jean Hockenberry, Sr. and Eugene and Janice Haught. Also surviving is his fiancé Heather Doolittle, nephews Ethan, Elijah, Carter, and Christian, niece Katie, family friends Justin and Jennifer Moore and their children Clayton and Caleb who thought of Chad as an uncle.
Funeral services will be held 11 am Saturday November 23rd at Twin Rivers Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Baumer officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held beginning at 4 pm on Friday at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with the family present from 4 to 8 and 1 hour before the service at the church. Chad was an organ donor and in lieu of flowers wishes memorial contributions be made to Lifeline of Ohio.
