    Shirley L. Eddy, 86, of New Matamoras passed away at 1:24 am, Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
    Shirley was born April 15, 1939, in Washington County a daughter of Kenneth VanWey and Cora Binegar VanWey. She had been a cook at Lawrence Elementary School.

    Allen M. Anderson, 84, of Fleming passed away at 4:10 pm on Tuesday June 24, 2025 at Akron General Hospital.
    He was born on June 10, 1941 at Fleming to Carleton Anderson and Ruth Jenkins Anderson. Allen was an Oil & and Gas Producer and enjoyed farming his entire life. He was a member of the Belpre Church of Christ.

  • Alice May Maze

    Alice May Maze, 93, entered into her Savior’s arms on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, surrounded by her adoring family. Alice was born on March 26, 1932 and is survived by her husband of 77 years, Virgil Maze, of Belpre, Ohio. She is a beloved wife, mother, aunt, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother.
    Alice was an avid reader and greatly enjoyed quilting, traveling at home and abroad, and visiting friends and family. She led an active life and loved being social. She will be greatly missed, but she is surely experiencing eternal joy in the presence of her Heavenly Father.

    Tony S. Myers, 58, of Whipple passed away at 9:12 pm, Wednesday, June 11, 2025. He was born April 28, 1967, in Marietta a son of Jerry Myers and Sandra Fleeman Myers.
    Tony had been employed at Hendershot Marathon, Gutberlet Chevrolet and Mondo Polymers. He was a Past Master of Aurelius Masonic Lodge, a member of Order of Eastern Star and Little Muskingum Grange.

    Linda K. Reynolds, 80, of Newport passed away at 5:55 am, Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born June 9, 1945 in Newport a daughter of Thomas Seevers and Vera Farnsworth Seevers. Linda was a homemaker.
    On October 13, 1965, she married Harry F. “Sonny” Reynolds who preceded her in death on October 4, 2002.

    Karen Ann Burns, 80, of Belpre passed away at 10:25 am, Tuesday, June 10, 2025.  She was born June 7, 1945 in Hackensack, New Jersey a daughter of Eugene DeBona and Elizabeth Unkrich DeBona.
    Karen retired from Brockway Glass in Vienna. She was raised in the Catholic religion.
    On December 2, 1972, she married James Burns who survives with her sister, Kathy Wildermuth of Newark, OH and brother, Glenn DeBona of Buffalo, NY.  She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Gene DeBona and 2 sisters, Gloria Reynolds and Deloris Johnson.
