Jacqueline Sue Blair
Jacqueline Sue Blair, 51, of Ormond Beach passed October 6, 2011 with her many friends and family by her side after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Marietta on July 31, 1960, the daughter of Robert N & Ilene Johns (deceased) and sister to five siblings. She graduated from Marietta High School in 1978 and earned her degree from Daytona State College in 2010 with an Associate of Science degree in Computer Information Technology.
In 1992 Jacqueline married her soul mate Gary James Blair and the two moved to central Florida in 1997. They both enjoyed a shared love of motorcycle riding and their pets. Mrs. Blair was the definition of a loyal employee spending over 18 years with Hart’s Department store in Marietta. She then started her work in the computer and software industry working for First Computer and Software; where she and her husband met and fell in love, before they moved to central Florida. Her devotion to her work didn’t stop when she arrived in the Sunshine State as she accepted a job with Spruce Creek Country Club as an administrator where all members adored her fun and caring personality. Her charm, loyalty and friendship landed her a position with Mike Skinner Enterprises in 2002 where she ran all business operations, and many would say took care of the family of the NASCAR race car driver until the day she departed. Throughout her four year battle with cancer, Jackie, as her friends called her, continued to work in between chemotherapy treatments, made herself always available for her family and friends, and helped to raise over $500,000 for Volusia County charities as an executive board member for the Skinner Round Up for Charity foundation. She did all of this daily without complaint. Her soul will be missed by many. Her strength will encourage all of us to live life with meaning and appreciation… Her life was full of meaning and purpose. Her genuine love will live forever.
Jacqueline is survived by her husband Gary Blair, brother Johnny Carpenter & spouse Joni of Parkersburg, brother Jerry Carpenter & spouse Kathy of St. Cloud, FL, brother Bob Johns of St. Cloud, FL, sister Jody Secoy & spouse Bill of Lake City, FL, and sister Mary Aderhalt & spouse Ronnie of Branford, FL; 3 nephews, Damon Blair, BJ Secoy, Mike Carpenter 9 nieces Molly Rudolph, Tiffany Tolley, Steffany Secoy, Emily Martin, Amanda Beebe, Jessica Johns, Leanna Carpenter, Ashley Blasdell, Sami Williams 2 Great nephews Max Bavar and Jayden Carpenter;6 great nieces Taylor Jou, Ana Beebe, Caitlyn Tolley, Hailey Tolley, Kyndall Norris and McKenna Martin. She was predeceased by one nephew Jeremey Johns.
