Glenda M. Farnsworth

Glenda M. Farnsworth, 89, of Marietta, passed away at 7:00am on Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at Harmar Place.

She was born on June 11, 1921, in Washington County, Ohio, a daughter of John Everett and Alma Joy Moore.  Glenda was a member of Souls Harbor Baptist Church and Senior Saints, part of Seed Ministeries.  She was a homemaker.

On December 14, 1938, she married Francis M. Farnsworth, Sr. who preceded her in death on January 4, 1990.  Two sons and two daughters survive:  John A. (Norma) Farnsworth of Marietta, Francis M. (Jane) Farnsworth, Jr. of New Matamoras, Lamyra (Edward) Rinard of Bloomfield, Sandra K. Farnsworth of Marietta; 13 grandchildren:  Sharon Jolliff, Robert Kyer, Christine Smith, John Farnsworth, Jr., Jason Farnsworth, Aaron Farnsworth, Francis Farnsworth III, Matthew Farnsworth, Joseph Farnsworth, Elizabeth Bellville, Jacqueline Gilkeson, Michael Rinard, Eric Rinard; 31 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 2 sisters, Jenny Moore and Zelda Cunnningham.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday (March 12) at 10:30 am at Souls Harbor Baptist Church with Pastor Robert Hughes officiating.  Burial will follow at Newport Cemetery.  Friends may call at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home on Friday after 2:00pm
