James W. “Jim” Miller
James W. “Jim” Miller, 71, of Pennsylvania Avenue, Marietta, died on Friday, January 1, 2010, at 1:26pm following a lengthy illness.
He was born on June 2, 1938, in Marietta to William E. and Lucille J. Eddy Miller. He was a certified electrician from which he retired. Jim was a member of Eagles #458 and the Moose Lodge of Marietta. He enjoyed boating, doing crosswords and spending time with his friends at the Harmar and Norwood.
He is survived by his son Nick (Tammy) Miller of Anchorage, Alaska and his mother Mary Wells of Williamstown, 3 sisters: Charlotte (Wayne) Martin, Susann Harris both of Marietta and Mary (Kester) Miller of Whipple;2 brothers: Edward (Judy) Miller and Johnny (Penny) Miller of Marietta, brother-in-law Clyde Hill of Marietta, 4 grandchildren: Mandy, James, Hope and Samantha all of Alaska.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Naomi “Kitty” Hill.
Visitation will begin on Monday (January 4th) beginning at 2:00 pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with family present from 2-4 and 6-8, followed by cremation. At his request, there will be no funeral services. On line condolences may be shared with the family at: www.mslfuneralhome.com.
