Michael Hendrickson, Sr.

Michael Hendrickson, Sr. of Waverly Road in Williamstown passed away at his home on December 29, 2009.

He was born on June 28, 1944, in Marietta a son of Homer and Mabel Rumbold Hendrickson.  Mike was a graduate of Marietta High School with the class of 1962 and served in the U. S. Army in Germany.  He worked for Union Carbide as a chemical operator, Bingler Ford, and Marietta Mack for 25 years.  He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and a member of the American Legion.  He enjoyed watching dirt track racing, hunting and fishing.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather

In 1968, he married Carolyn Lane who survives with 3 sons:  Michael Blake (Kelly) Hendrickson, Jr. and Gene Arthur (Kristi) Hendrickson II both of Williamstown and James “Jay” Frank (Pamela) Hendrickson of Waverly; 5 grandchildren:  Matt, Sarah, Michael, Dalton and Wyatt.  He is also survived by 2 brothers and 1 sister:  Gene Arthur (Chris) Hendrickson of Marietta, Ruth Mollohan of Waterford and Glen “Bub” Reese of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Carol Reese.

Funeral services will be held on Friday (January 1, 2010) at 1:00pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial in Riverview Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 4 until 8.
