H. R. ‘Bob’ Bules

Harold Robert 'Bob' Bules,84 of Lowell, OH passed away at his home on Thursday, September 10, 2009 at 3am after an extended illness.

Bob was born on Nov 27, 1924 in Marietta, OH to Wava and Edward Bules.   He was a Marietta High School graduate and World War II U.S. Army veteran (A Company 60th Engineer Battalion C). He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 1985 after 23 years of service.   He owned and operated the Lowell laundry mat for 30 years. He was a friend of 4H for his services to Camp Hervida. He enjoyed golfing, gardening, camping, and was an auto enthusiast.

Bob is survived by his wife of 63 years, Margaret Dailey Bules and 4 children: Neil & Teri Bules (Knoxville, TN), Jon & Sandy Bules (Marietta, OH), Molly & Joe Chambers (Corvallis OR), Amy & Gerard Fortune (Cincinnati, OH), and 7 grandchildren: William & Elizabeth Bules, Ian & Tyler Bules, Megan & Michael Chambers, and Haley Fortune.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his 2 brothers Dale and Billy Bules, sister Leota Ludtman, daughter Jane Naylor, and granddaughter Sarah Naylor

A memorial service will be held at Lowell United Methodist Church on Saturday Sept. 19, 2009 at 11:00 am. A visitation will be held prior to the service starting at 9:30 am in the church's fellowship hall.
