Ellen Louise Henderson

Ellen Louise Henderson, 93, of Williamstown WV, passed away March 21, 2024 at WVU Medicine Camden Clark Medical Center.

Ellen was born September 14, 1930 in Ritchie County, daughter of the late George L. Pratt and Geraldine “Short” Moore Pratt

Ellen was a graduate of Pennsboro High School and Mountain State Business College. She married her husband Gailey Henderson on August 26, 1950. She was employed by Hope Gas Co and John B Yates Lumber Co for a few years until they started a family. Ellen was a loving wife and mother to 3 sons. She was a 44 year survivor of breast cancer.

Ellen is survived by her husband of 73 years, Gailey, sons Randy (Nancy) and Ron (Swanna), granddaughters Tisha (Rodney) Jackson, Jenni (Adam) Strimer, Kelli Henderson, and great grandchildren FaeLynn Beall, Kate Strimer, Paige Strimer, and Andrew Strimer and several nieces and nephews

In addition to her parents, Ellen was preceded in death by her youngest son, Don Henderson and brothers George (June) Pratt Jr., and Millard (Mick) Pratt
Ellen’s family would like to thank the staff of WVU Medicine, Camden Clark Medical Center, 2nd floor North Tower for their loving and compassionate care during her stay.
