Raymond Anderson

Raymond Anderson, 89, of Williamstown passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born on November 5, 1934, in Berdine, KY, a son of Marian Anderson and Garnett Hanners Anderson.

Ray was employed by the Army Corps of Engineers. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force for 8 years.

On October 10, 1959, he married Joyce Sluss who survives with 2 sons and 2 daughters: Gregory Allan (Victoria) Anderson of Frazeysburg, OH, Beverly (Paul) Wright of Vienna, WV, Susie Brookover of Williamstown and Gary Anderson of Williamstown; several grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Military Graveside Services will be held at 2:30 pm on Monday, July 8, at Riverview Cemetery in Williamstown. Family will greet friends at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home before the service from 1:00 until 2:00. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
