Mary Kathryn “Kate” Satterfield

Mary Kathryn “Kate” Satterfield, 91, of Marietta passed away at 9:35 pm, Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Harmar Place.

She was born June 22, 1933 in Racine, OH, a daughter of Albert J. Faircloth and Helen Profitt Faircloth. Kate had been employed by Winans Services where she worked 40 years without a sick day. She was a member of Marietta First Church of the Nazarene.

Kate enjoyed her car rides to Racine, visiting the Amish Country, listening to Gospel music and above all she enjoyed her grandchildren and cats.

On July 18, 1953, she married Russell Bland Satterfield who preceded her in death on August 12, 1987. She is survived by 2 sons and 2 daughters: Roger Satterfield, Tony (Susan) Satterfield, Tammi (Jim) Layne all of Marietta and Karen Trick of Heath; 3 grandchildren: Christopher (Emily) Trick, Jordan and Wesley Satterfield; 3 great grandchildren: Jamie, Logan and Katie Jo and her brother William Joseph Faircloth.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother James A. Faircloth.

The family would like to extend their thanks for Kate’s care to Waterview Pointe, Harmar Place, Marietta Memorial Hospital and House Calls Home Health.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (Oct. 30) at 11:00 am at The First Church of the Nazarene in Marietta with burial following in Oak Grove Cemetery. Family will greet friends at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6-8. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.

In lieu of flowers, donation in her memory will be appreciated to First Church of the Nazarene or the Humane Society of the Ohio Valley.
