Larry G. Hendershot

Larry Gene Hendershot, 61, of Whipple, passed away on January 22, 2009, at University Hospital in Columbus.

He was born on August 19, 1947, in Washington County, Ohio, a son of Grover C. Hendershot, Jr. and Leora F. Morgenstern Hendershot. Larry was retired from Ohio Power Company (AEP), was a veteran of the U. S. Army and was a member of Scotts Ridge Methodist Church.

Larry is survived by 1 son and 2 daughters: William (Barb) Close of Dalzell, Malisa (Bryan) Adams and Traci Hendershot both of Delaware, OH, and 5 grandchildren: Kylee, Branden, Tyler, Hope and Brooke. He is also survived by his sister Lana (Peter) Bartkiewicz of Canada and nieces and nephews: Justin, Carly and Kristi.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Gary Hendershot.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday (Jan. 25) at 2:00 pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Lou Verdi officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 pm.
