Stephen R. Hiener

Stephen R. Hiener, 76, of Parkersburg, WV, passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at Harmar Place. He was born in Marietta on July 5, 1948, a son of Raymond Hiener and Doris Hudnall Hiener.

Steve was a 1966 graduate of Waterford High School and a 1979 graduate of Glenville State. He was a contractor and mason. He loved to play golf, travel and camp and his dogs, “Faith” and “Seven.” He was a faithful member of Moss Run Community Church.

On August 13, 1971, he married Susan Woodyard who preceded him in death on September 18, 2015. Surviving are his daughters, Bethany (Ronald) Pellegrino of Morgantown and Suzannah Rae (Christopher) Packert of Gypsum CO; 2 grandchildren, Jack Steven Packert and McKinley Rae Packert. He is also survived by his sister Linda Strahler of Marietta and his brother John (Sandy) Hiener of Watertown and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday (May 22) at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial following in Pisgah Cemetery in Tanner, WV.
