Janice J. Haught

Janice J. Haught, 89, of Marietta passed away at 7:08pm, Tuesday, June 3, 2025 at The Arbors of Marietta. She was born February 6, 1936, in Marietta a daughter of Merle Carpenter and Reva Wittke Carpenter.

Janice had been employed as a tour guide for AAA. She was a member of Souls Harbor Baptist Church. Along with her husband Eugene, they sang together in many area churches.

On June 11, 1956, she married Eugene Haught who survives with their daughter Debbie (Charles) Hockenberry and their son Michael (Angie) Haught both of Marietta; 5 grandchildren: Eric Hockenberry, Stacy Hockenberry, Meagan Rech, Heather Wojton and David Haught and 6 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, grandson Chad Hockenberry, sisters: Wilma Carpenter, Joan Zimmer and Sharon Wilson and her brother Carl “Tom” Carpenter.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday (June 7) at 11:00am at Souls Harbor Baptist Church with burial following in East Lawn Memorial Park. Family will greet friends at Souls Harbor Church on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 and on Saturday from 10:00am until the hour of the service.
