Wanita Littleton
Wanita Littleton, born on August 14, 1931, passed away on December 28, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, family, and strength that will continue for generations.
Wanita was the heart of her family. Her life was shaped by devotion—to her children, her grandchildren, and all those fortunate enough to know her. She had a quiet strength and steady presence that brought comfort to others, and her love was something you could feel simply by being near her. Family gatherings were richer because she was there, and her absence will be deeply felt.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Joseph Littleton; her sons George Littleton, Everett Littleton, and Dwight Littleton; and her daughter Sharon Littleton. Though she endured profound loss in her life, Wanita remained resilient, continuing to give love, care, and guidance to her family.
She is survived by her six daughters, Francis Dye, Thelma Clatterbuck, Wanda Sisler, Vonda Cassidy, Teresa Littleton, and Michelle Littleton; her son Michael Littleton; more than ten grandchildren; and more than twenty great-grandchildren. Her family was her pride and joy, and her love will live on through each of them.
Wanita will be remembered not only as a mother and grandmother, but as a woman whose life mattered deeply to those around her. She leaves behind countless memories, lessons, and a love that time cannot erase. She will be truly and dearly missed.
Family will greet friends on Wednesday (Dec. 31) from 11:00 until 1:00 at McClure Schafer Lankford Funeral Home, Marietta, followed by a graveside service at 2:00 pm in East Lawn Memorial Park. Messages of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.Lankfordfh.com.
