Donald E. Leasure
Donald E. Leasure, 76, of Whipple passed away Sunday, April 22, 2012.
He was born June 1, 1935 in Washington County to Clyde and Grovie (Casto) Leasure. Donald had been employed at McJunken Supply Corp. Donald enjoyed playing golf, softball and bowling. He liked to work out doors and watching all kinds of sporting events.
Surviving is his long-time companion Sandra Davis of Whipple and her son Derek (Lori) Davis of Myrtle Beach, SC, his daughter Vicki (Steve) Schlicher of Marietta and sons Shane Leasure of Shaker Heights, TX, Jeff Leasure of Parkersburg and Randy (Cara) Leasure of Crossville, TN. Also surviving are several grand children, brothers and sisters: Clyde (Joann) Leasure of Groveport, OH, Darlene (Don) Zurheide of Coconut Grove, FL, Roger (Marsha) Leasure, Jean (Dale) Best and Dianne Forshey all of Marietta. Several nieces and nephews also survive him.
In addition to his parents, a daughter Beth Ann Leasure, a brother Bill Leasure, a sister Dorothy Fitch and his dog Belle preceded Donald in death.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, April 26th at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Gene Ferrell officiating. The family will receive friends from noon till the hour of service. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.mslfuneralhome.com.
