Kathleen Sue Schneider

Kathleen Sue Schneider, 66, of Marietta passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. She was born on February 16, 1960 in Marietta, a daughter of Bill VanWey and Diane Britton VanWey.

Kathleen attended Marietta High School and the Washington County Career Center, Class of 1978. She was a homemaker and a dedicated wife and mother. She loved to craft, taking pictures, gardening, raising chickens and her dogs, Shelby, Tessie and Chester.

On March 5, 1977, she married Frank Schneider,II, who survives with children; Amy Schneider and Aaron Schneider both of Marietta, grandchildren: Tyler Schneider, Alexander Schneider, Brandi Savage all of Marietta; brother and sisters, Tammy Shuman, Lisa Lemley and Billy VanWey and several nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Brian VanWey, sister Cheryl VanWey, mother-in-law, Shelba Kern and niece Danielle VanWey.

Funeral services will be held on Friday (Oct. 23) at 11:00 am at McClure Schafer Lankford Funeral Home with burial following in Gravel Bank Cemetery. Family will greet friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
