Barbara Ann Gerber

Barbara Ann Gerber, 86, of Marietta passed on October 30, 2026 at Waterview Pointe Nursing Home.

She was born on April 28, 1940 in Germantown, a daughter of Violet Morrow Hockenberry and Forest Hockenberry. Barbara was a member of the Highland Ridge Community Church and retired from Salem Liberty Elementary School as a cook.

On October 17, 1959, she married Ronald “Dean” Gerber who preceded her in death on May 15, 2024. She is survived by her children: Tim (Kathi) Gerber, Mike (Denise) Gerber and Scott (Debbie) Gerber; grandchildren: Nathan (Rachel) Gerber, Rachel (Wes) Granville, Whitney (Eric) Hoon, Cory (Brookanne) Gerber, Ashley (Walker) Siers and Staci (Logan) LeMasters and 9 great grandchildren.

The family would like to extend their “Thanks” for the care given Barbara to Amedysis Hospice and the caring staff at Waterview Pointe and Marietta Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday (Nov. 7) at McClure Schafer Lankford Funeral Home. Family will greet friends before the service from 1:00 pm until the hour of the service. Online condolences may be sent at www.Lankfordfh.com.
