Robert N. Nolan
Robert N. Nolan, 86, of Marietta, passed away at 9:37am on Friday, June 15, 2012, at Marietta Memorial Hospital.
He was born on July 22, 1925, in Wetzel County, WV, a son of Nelson and Bertha Rose Nolan. He was self-employed as a homebuilder and was a member of Marietta Baptist Temple, past president of National Home Association Homebuilders and was a veteran of U. S. Navy serving during WWII.
Bob married Mary Hoce who survives with 4 sons: Larry (Robin) Nolan, David Nolan, Donald Nolan and Carl Nolan all of Marietta; grandchildren: Rusty, Renay, Amanda, Jonathan, Roman, Keenan, Franky, Bobby, Uanna and several great grandchildren. He is also survived by brother and sisters: Ray Nolan, Denzil Nolan, Betty Wright Nolan, Junior Nolan, Kenneth Nolan, Shirley Roton Nolan and Roger Nolan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son Allen Duane Nolan, brothers and sisters: Margaret Nolan Martin, Iona Hall Nolan, Virgil Nolan and Ronald Nolan.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (June 20) at 10:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Don Teubert officiating. Burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park with full military rites. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday afternoon after 2:00 with family greeting friends from 2-4 & 6-8.
