Michael A. Emerick

Michael A. Emerick, 54, of Reedsville, decided to leave this world to explore parts unknown on Saturday, July 14, 2012, at his home.

He was born on June 13, 1958, in Washington County, Ohio, to James R. and Carol Miller Emerick. He was a steel union painter and a member of Beverly Eagles Club.

On August 27, 1999, he married Caroline Waite who survives with 2 sons and 1 daughter: Michael (Kristy) Emerick of Marietta, Shawn (Nicki) Britton of Marietta, Carrie (Roger Ward) Britton of Beverly, 8 grandchildren; 2 brothers and 4 sisters: Darlene (Rick) Driggers, Connie Berry, Sandy (Randy) Offenberger, Carol Clay, Larry (Nancy) Emerick, John Emerick.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Shane Emerick, brother Robert Emerick, sister Kathy Smith.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (July 18) at 1:00 pm at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with burial in Bartlett Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday after 2:00 pm with family present from 2-4 & 6-8. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.mslfuneralhome.com.
