Irene Miller
Irene Miller, 94, of Byesville, formerly of Marietta, passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at her home.
She was born on December 18, 1917, at Hills Post Office, a daughter of Earl and Mabel Lane Hill. She attended 8 Mile School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, quilting, Ohio State and loved spending time with grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren. She attended Hills United Methodist Church.
On March 29, 1941, she married Walter “Bill” Miller who preceded her in death on July 25, 1997.
Irene is survived by her daughter Sandra (William) Cremeans of Norwick, Ohio, grandchildren: Kristie (Gene) Oliver of Byesville, Myrna (Rusty) Wolfe of Cambridge, Cynthia Cremeans of Cambridge; 5 great grandchildren: Derrick (Glenda) Synder of Hilton Head, Davonne (Teddy) Thompson of Byesville, Russell Wolfe III of Cambridge, Seth and Sheridan Oliver of Byesville; 6 great, great grandchildren: Katie, Brayden, and Karlie Snyder and Trevor, Haylie and Kaylie Thompson; sister Beulah Patterson of Marietta and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son Walter Miller, Jr. and brothers and sisters: Deloris, Theora, Phyllis, Lowell and Kenneth.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (August 8) at 11:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home with Pastor Gale Lauderman officiating. Burial will follow in East Lawn Memorial Park.
