Sylvia Lauer

Sylvia Lauer, 94, passed away on Wednesday, August 22, 2012. She was born on January 9, 1918, at home in the Moss Run community, a daughter of Rudolph and Clara Martin Smithberger. On February 12, 1936, she married Ralph Lauer who preceded her in death on June 15, 1991. Sylvia and her husband worked on their family farm. She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting

Sylvia is survived by her grandchildren: Gerald (Diana) Antill and Kevin Antill both of Marietta; great grandchildren: Michael (Kari) Antill, Calvin Antill and Christopher Antill and a great, great grandchild, Kaitlynn.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Leona Antill and son-in-law Paul Antill.

Funeral services will be held on Monday (August 27) at 1:00 pm at Sixth and Washington Street Church of Christ with Roger Rush officiating with burial in Dalzell Cemetery. Friends may call at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home beginning Saturday evening at 6:00pm and on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.mslfuneralhome.com.
