Myrna L. Close
Myrna L. Close, 86, Waterford, went to be with the Lord Jesus Christ on Friday, August 24, 2012, at Appletree of Beverly.
She was born October 24, 1925, to Allen C. and Audrey Smith Brewer of Portland, Ohio. She graduated from Racine High School in 1943.
Myrna married Clyde Close on May 10, 1947, and together they raised six children. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved the Lord, farming, cooking and having people visit. She was a member of Watertown Presbyterian Church, where she served the Lord faithfully for more that 60 years.
Myrna is survived by four sons: Larry (Sandra) Close, Leland (Carol) Close, Wayne (Debora) Close, Roy (Amie) Close and two daughters: Linda (Robbin) Reisinger and Rita (Mark) Garrett. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one sister, Marilyn Beall, one brother, Kenneth (Gertie) Brewer, sister-in-law Ruby Brewer, many nieces and nephews, a special friend Lura Webb and many other friends including her beloved friends at Beverly Appletree.
She was preceded in death by parents, husband, brothers: David Brewer, Harold Brewer, infant brother and two sisters: Louise Brewer and Ruby Donnan.
Funeral services will be Tuesday (August 28) at 2:00 pm at the Watertown Presbyterian Church with Rev. Robin Swinsburg officiating. Interment will be in Watertown Cemetery. Family will receive visitors on Monday (Aug. 27) from 2-4 & 6-8 at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.mslfuneralhome.com.
