Scott Sargent

Scott Sargent, 55, of Lowell, passed away at 7:36 pm on Saturday, December 31, 2011, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born on February 18, 1956, in Marietta a son of Herbert Sargent of Colorado and Ernestine Frye of Marietta. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.   He was a member of the Celebration Center opening services every Sunday morning. Scott had worked in a long-term care facility in the maintenance department and owned and operated Sargent’s Combat Karate for 15 years.
            On July 19, 1992, he married Christie Hathaway and survives with 4 daughters: Ammie Sargent Kline of Marietta, Megan (Richard Keller) Sargent of Marietta, Rachael Sargent and Sarah Sargent both of Lowell; 5 grandchildren: Tyler Kline, Madelynn Kline, Hannah Keller, Cassidy Keller and Emily Hart. He is also survived by his sister Deanna Kuhn and brothers, Shane and Lyndall Sargent.
            Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (Jan. 4) at 11:00 am at the Celebration Center in Marietta with Gordie Deer officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Township Cemetery. Friends may call at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home on Tuesday afternoon from 2 to 4 and 6-8.
