Bruce A. Phipps

Bruce A. Phipps, 56, of Marietta passed away on Friday, April 12, 2013, at West Penn Burn Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was born on October 20, 1956, in Portsmouth, Ohio, a son of the late Nathaniel Phipps and Margaret Compliment of Cleveland.

Bruce was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Riders of Marietta serving as a road captain I.B.E.W. of Louisville, KY, and a proud employee of UTI of Groveport, Ohio.

On March 10, 1975, he married Karen Jordan who survives with 1 daughter Laura Jane (Craig) Douglas of Bremerton, Washington; 2 grandchildren, Jack T. Douglas and Aaron T. Douglas; 2 sisters, Marjorie Hall of Cleveland and Sue Nolan of Wheelersburg; and 1 brother Max Phipps of McDermott, OH.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday (April 17) at 11:00 am at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00. Messages of sympathy may be sent at www.lankfordfh.com.

Flowers are welcome but contributions may be made to Kyle Hockenberry fund in Bruce’s name.
